Short answer
Subclass 485 rules can require you to meet an age limit, provide English evidence and maintain health insurance.
For many primary 485 applicants, the age limit is 35 or younger at the time of application. Different age rules can apply to Hong Kong passport holders, British National (Overseas) passport holders, masters by research graduates and doctoral graduates.
You may need to provide English evidence with the application unless you hold an eligible passport. You also need adequate health insurance, and visa rule 8501 must be placed on all subclass 485 visas.
