Short answer
The subclass 590 Student Guardian visa lets an eligible person stay in Australia to support and care for a student visa holder.
The student guardian needs to be nominated by the student. The guardian role is focused on accommodation, support and general welfare for the student, especially where the student is under 18.
If there is more than one student nominating the same guardian, Home Affairs considers whether appropriate welfare and accommodation arrangements are in place for each student.
