The subclass 444 Special Category visa is a temporary visa for eligible New Zealand citizens who enter Australia.
Eligible New Zealand citizens can usually apply for a subclass 444 visa when they arrive in Australia. While the visa is in effect, it lets the holder live, work and study in Australia.
The visa is temporary. It is usually granted on arrival, remains in effect while the holder remains a New Zealand citizen and is in Australia, and ceases when the holder departs Australia or the visa otherwise ceases or is cancelled.
